I'm really, really sad that the width of the calf/ tongue part near the top doesn't size up. I wouldn't say I have fat calves, but these boots definitely do not account for tall/big people. The top of my calf (for where the top of the boot would come to on me) is 19.5" in circumference. There is quite a bit of skin that shows on either side of the boot tongue at the top of the boot, maybe .75" on either side. I will (very, very, very) sadly be returning these. I'm really pretty upset about it.

Other than that, boots seem very well made, beautiful to look at, etc. Unfortunately, it just doesn't matter if the tongue isn't wide enough to accommodate larger sizes.

I usually fit into a women’s 11 quite well. However these definitely run small. I’ll be returning to get a bigger size. I’ve never had to get a bigger size than 11 before.

I love these boots. I'm plus size though so I needed to buy some thigh high laces to have laces long enough to accommodate my wider calves. I didn't need to size up at all. I wear a 12 demonia, 12 Tuk, 12 doc martens, all women's size. If these aren't tight on you then you'll fit these. My feet are average width for the most part despite me being plus size but I noticed some pressure on the inside of my foot after around 2.5 hrs of LOTS of outdoor walking. I really give my shoes lots of steps so.... Anyway give them a while to break in. If you are heavy footed or plus size these shoes seem well built. If I'm in cheap shoes after the first day (I walk over 10k steps a day)I notice wear. I didn't notice wear after the first day so that was good.

The Perks: These boots are really lovely, super stylish and edgy. They feel really high quality, with heavy thick faux leather that softens nicely. Once I re-laced them they fit perfectly. This is the most reasonably priced tall combat boot I had found after scouring pretty widely. They came quickly and well-packaged.

The Downsides: I read many reviews that said size up, and they were absolutely correct -- I am a US Women's 10 everywhere and an 11 fit perfectly. And be aware if you have wide feet: I've never had to purchase a wide shoe before but I can feel on the sole my inner arches feel like they're hanging over the side a bit. It's not the most pleasant feeling, but bearable. I've worn them about 3-4 times now and they're still not quite broken in, so make sure you give them time to soften.
